Woodinville Lacrosse Mission Statement

Club Mission

The Woodinville Lacrosse Club, established in 2010 is dedicated to promoting lacrosse by providing our student athletes the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and develop their skills while fielding competitive teams and honoring the game. We serve players from 1st grade to 12th grade, who reside in the area served by Woodinville High School.
Woodinville Lacrosse at the Varsity and JV level strives to develop student-athletes of character and integrity who will act as leaders by showing care and respect for themselves, and recognize they serve as representatives of their community in the game of lacrosse. The first priority of the student-athlete shall be their academic success as demonstrated by their commitment to learning; the second priority shall be to the team as they hold each other responsible and accountable for their thoughts and actions both on and off the field.

Club Goals

We want to establish a culture of lacrosse in the community and have our club represent our community with pride and respect. Establishing relationships with the school district and the city will make our club a strong permanent fixture in the youth sports landscape. We want to educate people about the game to inspire parents to promote and to participate in the growth of our club. We want to provide a positive environment to enable kids to learn and excel in lacrosse while instilling values of integrity, pride and respect for others.

Team Goals

  1. Have Fun- enjoy your team and the game.
  2. Sportsmanship- respect your opponents; lacrosse is a small community that we are all a part of.
  3. Team Bonding- make friends with kids from several schools.
  4. Good Practices- practice how you would play in a game, and learn the basics of the game.
  5. Competing with all our opponents- play at the highest level of our abilities.
  6. Educate people about the game- have the families involved gain an understanding of the game.

Player Expectations

  1. Act with class on and off the field. As member of Woodinville Lacrosse, your actions represent our entire program.
  2. Respect your fellow teammates, coaches, referees, officials, opponents and coaches from other teams.
  3. Make lacrosse a priority. Commit to the team, try to make it to all practices and games if you are on a rec squad.  If you are playing on the High School varsity team, the 7/8th A team or on a Tournament team, the expectation is that Lacrosse is your number one sports priority.
  4. Wear required uniform or pennie to practices and games and make sure your uniform is clean for the games.
